Horse Racing

Dressage is a highly skilled sport for both men and women. There needs to be a willing obedience from the horse to respond to the rider’s commands. The precise execution of movements is the sport’s objective. The rider must have patience, authority and concentration, and be able to develop a close relationship and communication ability with the horse. The English Hunter and German Hanovarian are breeds of horses well-suited to Dressage.

History
The Nomads of the Asian steppes were probably the first people to ride horses, between 3500 BC and 4000 BC. Horses being used in transportation, hunting and war followed relatively quickly, and this has continued to current times. Although refinements in saddles, bridles, bits and horseshoes have meant that horse riding has become more comfortable and responsive.
